Do not let your past DEFINE who you are today.    Instead, let it REFINE you into the person you want to be.

Superintendent's Message

The 2016-2017 School year is upon us and I am super excited about the upcoming year. I have no doubt it will be one of the best on record for Brackett ISD. As the district leader at Brackett ISD it is a pleasant and satisfying feeling knowing you are surrounded with a team of professionals that are the best in the State and the record of this district exemplifies that by the success of each and every student that attends BISD and takes that Tiger pride with them throughout their life in all they accomplish.

It is also comforting to be led by a team of trustees that serve to accomplish each and every goal attainable for the students of Brackett ISD. The best possible education for each and every child in an environment and facility that safety of our children ranks at the top of the priority list.

Whether you were born and raised here or you have moved here or even transferred your children into the Brackett ISD family, it will not take you long to realize that Brackett ISD is the best small school in the State of Texas. We have strong academics, CTE classes unmatched at any school our size, UIL academic and extra-curricular activities that are recognized around the State of Texas and a set of administrators, teachers and support staff that are unmatched anywhere.

On behalf of our leadership team and the Board of Trustees at Brackett ISD we welcome you to the 2016 – 2017 school year at the best 2A district in the State of Texas. A place where our student’s education and safety takes top priority.

Kevin W. Newsom – Superintendent Brackett ISD
