"Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself."  - John Dewey

Superintendent's Message

As I enter my first year as the new Superintendent of the Brackett ISD School system I must share the main reason that this was the district I wanted to begin my Superintendent’s career in. Pride is the key word that represents this district and that pride fuels my desire to be a member of this great team of educators.  As I have dealt with the board of trustees for the last several years as well as the stakeholders in this district, it is evident that there is an unyielding pride in our district, pride in our community and pride in our diversity. I have seen and shared the vision of success for our students that begin with our trustees, district employees, teachers, family members as well as this great community.

We are prepared and committed to offer each student an education that will open the door to the world of success for their taking. Our goal is, and always has been to be the best school district in the state of Texas, which requires a collaborative effort of this district, community and its leaders.  We will also not detour from our expectations of a higher standard of learning that is unprecedented and unmatched for the students of this district. Our teachers are focused on offering the students of Bracket ISD a 21st century learning experience that will allow them the opportunity to achieve the goals and dreams they have set forth.  It is the desire of this district that each and every one of our students gain the educational experience that will fill them with the pride that only a Brackett Tiger or Tigerette could possess.

Kevin W. Newsom – Brackett ISD Superintendent

News and Announcements

WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE!

WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE! Home of the MIGHTY TIGERS & TIGERETTES!
WE ARE GROWING
Our design-build construction project is officially underway and ongoing through the end of May. Mr. Newsom has asked that everyone take extra caution in making sure staff and especially students are aware of this and stay clear of the construction site. Construction fencing will be placed around the site, but there will also be lots of heavy construction vehicles coming and going on Fulton. Alternate routes will need to be planned to get students to and from the Band Hall safely.

THE SAFETY OF STUDENTS AND STAFF SHOULD BE #1 ON OUR LIST OF THINGS TO REMEMBER EACH DAY.
