The Texas Education Agency released the 2019 accountability ratings for districts and campuses. The 2019 State Accountability Ratings were released and are publicized on the Texas Education Agency’s (TEA) website. Brackett ISD school district as a whole scored an “A” rating; an “A” is the highest attainable rating possible. This is the second consecutive year Brackett ISD has received an “A” rating according to TEA.
A large part of the 2019 Accountability Ratings are based on state standardized scores or more commonly known as STAAR and End of Course (EOC) exams. Brackett ISD Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Guillermo Mancha, Jr., stated, “Congratulations to the entire student body, employees and community of our wonderful school district. The “A” rating is just one indicator of the many great things that happen at our school district.” Dr. Mancha went on to say, “We strive for excellence in everything we do. Our students’ academic achievement is a significant piece as to what our school district does to service our students and families. I continue to believe Brackett ISD is an exceptional place for students and families.”
For the first time since the new accountability ratings were implemented two years ago, TEA assigned ratings to campuses. Jones Elementary received a rating of “C.” Brackett Junior High School received a rating of “B.” Brackett High School received a rating of “A.”
Brackett ISD’s 2019 Accountability Ratings are a reflection of the hard work our student and staff do every day. Dr. Mancha stated, “We celebrate our successes but at the same time we will address our opportunities for improvement head on. We realize that there is still much work to be done. While, our student body is the pride and joy of our school district and community. Our faculty and staff is without a shadow of a doubt the backbone of our school district. Our wonderful faculty and staff is full of exceptional individuals that are dedicated, caring, and true professionals at their craft. Brackett ISD will continue to rise to the challenge to provide a high quality education to our students. Congratulations Brackett ISD on a successful school year. GO TIGERS!!”
