Hello there! Welcome!

I am super excited to be your teacher this year and hope you are as well! 6th Grade Social Studies and ELAR are going to be a fun and educational time this year!

A little about me before the year starts:

• This is my 5th year teaching overall and my 2nd year at BISD!

• I grew up in the Mid-West with my current hometown being Williston, ND, where my parents and sisters still live. 

• My husband, John, is in the Air Force, which is what brought me here to your school, and he currently teaches new AF pilots how to fly T6 airplanes. 

• I graduated from Minot State with my bachelor's in History Education and have taught at Minot Public Schools (Jim Hill Middle School in particular), Surrey Public School, & Rolette Public School - all in North Dakota. 

• I have four pets, two cats and two dogs. Their names are Tamina, Tinker, Nelson, and Nigel and I affectionately refer to them as TNT on occasions when they do crazy things together like play fight. 

• As I love to travel, I have been to several countries as of this moment including Egypt, Haiti, England, Scotland, Spain, Portugal, and many more European Countries!

• My favorite subject within social studies is World Geography and my favorite time period is the Medieval Era, which includes knights, Vikings, and the Black Plague.
