Expectations When You Receive Your Chromebook

When you accept your assigned Chromebook, you acknowledge the following:

1. I understand the care of my Chromebook is my responsibility.
2. I will ensure my Chromebook battery is charged nightly.
3. I will protect my Chromebook by keeping it in an approved case at all times.
4. I will not place decorations (such as stickers, markers, etc.) on my Chromebook.
5. I will never loan out my Chromebook to other individuals.
6. I will keep food and beverages away from my Chromebook since they may cause damage to the device.
7. I will keep my Chromebook away from liquids and will use proper care to keep it clean.
8. I will avoid using objects that may scratch the screen.
9. I will not expose my Chromebook to extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
10. I will not deface the serial number on any Chromebook.
11. I will not delete any school installed applications or software.
12. I will not disassemble any part of my Chromebook or attempt any repair
13. I will use my Chromebook in ways that are educational and appropriate.
14. I will follow the BISD Technology Handbook: Documents and Agreements and Acceptable Use Procedures (AUP) at all times.
15. I understand my Chromebook is subject to inspection at any time without notice.
16. I understand my Chromebook remains the property of BISD.
17. I will file a police report in case of theft or vandalism.
18. I will be responsible for all damage or loss caused by neglect or abuse.
19. I agree to return my Chromebook, case, power cords, and accessories in good working condition.
20. I will keep my hotspot (if issued) at my home in Kinney County.
