Help BISD Honor Our Veterans
Brackett Independent School District invites our families and community members to help us recognize the Veterans who have served our country and are part of our community.
Share a Veteran's Story With Us
As BISD prepares for our 2026 Veterans Day recognition, we are asking families and community members to submit information about Veterans they would like us to honor.
The information and photographs submitted through this initiative may be used in BISD Veterans Day recognition materials, including our Veterans Day presentation and photo slideshow.
Who Can Be Submitted?
Community members may submit a Veteran from their family, a friend, a member of our community, or themselves if they are a Veteran.
What Will We Ask?
We will ask for basic information such as the Veteran's name, branch of service, last known rank, years of service if known, and your relationship to the Veteran.
Share a Photograph
You may also submit a photograph of your Veteran for possible inclusion in our Veterans Day slideshow and recognition materials. Historical military photographs and current photographs are welcome.
What Should I Have Ready?
Before beginning the form, gather as much of the following information as you know:
- The Veteran's full name as you would like it displayed
- Branch of military service
- Last known military rank, if known
- Years of service, if known
- A photograph of the Veteran, if you would like to submit one
- Your name and contact information in case BISD has a question about the submission

Veterans Day gives our students and community an opportunity to recognize and thank those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. By sharing the names, service information, and photographs of Veterans connected to our community, you are helping BISD create a meaningful tribute for our students, families, guests, and Veterans.
