It’s that time again! As we get ready for the new school year, here’s what BISD students will need to start strong. This list covers Brackett Junior High (Grades 6–8) and Brackett High School (Grades 9–12).

6th Grade Highlights

• ELA & Reading: composition notebooks, pencils, folders, index cards, tissues.
• Math: spiral notebook, binder, graph paper, ruler.
• Science: composition notebook, binder, dividers, pencils, markers.
• Social Studies: composition notebook, dividers, tissues.
• General Supplies (for all classes): composition notebooks, folders, scissors, glue sticks, pencils, colored pencils.

7th & 8th Grade Highlights

• ELA: binder, dividers, paper, pens, pencils, highlighters, tissues.
• Math: spiral notebook, binder, pencils, ruler.
• Social Studies: composition notebook, binder, pencils.
• Science: binder, dividers, composition notebook, colored pencils, ruler, tissues, hand sanitizer.

Brackett High School

General Supplies for Most Classes

• College-ruled notebook paper
• #2 pencils (mechanical or traditional)
• Planner (provided by the school)

Course-Specific

• Algebra 1 & 2: spiral notebook, binder, dividers, mechanical pencils.
• Anatomy & Physiology: binder, dividers, colored pencils, Clorox wipes, paper towels, Kleenex, hand sanitizer.
• English III & IV: binder, college-ruled paper, folder with brads, composition notebooks, pens.

🗓 Important Note: Teachers will provide specific supply needs during Open House Night or on the first day of school, August 18th. Some items will be needed throughout the year for projects, so keep extras on hand.
