Texas ACE Empowers Students to Realize Their Potential and Change the World
About the Program
BISD received a federal grant for our afterschool program. The program is now called Texas ACE and is funded by a grant from the US Department of Education’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers program. Texas ACE provides thousands of students across the state with:
- Interactive, hands-on learning disguised as fun and aligned with the school curriculum
- Enrichment activities
- Homework help, study strategies, time management, and other targeted, needs-based academic assistance as well as high-impact tutoring in math and reading.

This daily schedule outlines the flow of Texas ACE afterschool activities, including dinner, academic support, enrichment time, and dismissal procedures.

Texas ACE is a federally funded afterschool program that provides academic support, enrichment activities, and physical wellness opportunities for BISD students.
The program is open to eligible BISD students, with capacity varying by grade level and campus. Enrollment details will be provided by the district.
Students enjoy dinner, engage in hands-on academic and enrichment activities, receive homework help or tutoring, and participate in physical activities before dismissal.
No. The Texas ACE program is completely free for participating families thanks to funding from the U.S. Department of Education’s 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant.
Parents, grandparents, and guardians can join the program’s Remind group to receive announcements, schedule updates, and important notifications directly on their phones. Tap Here to Join the Group
Dismissal begins at 5:55 PM. All students will report to the designated pick-up area, and families should arrive on time for a smooth dismissal process.
After you submit the registration form, you will receive a confirmation email once your child has been fully enrolled. If there is a waitlist, you will be notified immediately with updates on available space.
Enrollment confirmation is typically sent within 1–3 school days. If you do not receive communication within that window, please reach out using the contact information on the Texas ACE page.
Once you receive the enrollment confirmation, your child may begin attending the program the same day or the next school day—unless otherwise communicated by the ACE staff.
Yes. If the program is full, you will receive a clear message stating that your child has been placed on the waitlist, along with details on estimated wait times and next steps.
