You will be creating a Business Card, Letter head, and Envelope for a favorite Logo that you will create FIRST. You can pick any type of business and name to use for your logo/company. You will create your logo in Adobe Illustrator. This is a small part of the grade, so don't spend your entire time designing your logo!

Your goal is to create a well designed package of files, which includes a Business Card, Letterhead, and an Envelope, for your "client.. You will put these all in 1 file (3 separate pages) and create a PACKAGE of the file product.  Save the files as Last Name + First Name + Period + Business Package and also export your file as a PDF

Class for your Semester Exam , you will need to use everything you have learned this far to create a Magical Christmas Card or Christmas Landscape. It has to show creativity. I will be grading very strongly on this. If you need to refer back to past worksheets or projects to help you, please do so. Once you have finished, submit your work here and if you like, you can also print them out via Posterprinter. It should be in the classroom or across the hall in Room 40. Have your substitute help you with that.

Once you have your topic approved, you will need to sketch your brochure plan. Be Creative! Think of a new way to create something so traditional. How can you make it different?

1 Text box with 2 columns
1 Text box with a Stroke OR a Back Color
A transformed image​ (see tutorial to help you)

In order to help you get your design organized, sometime you need to be able to number or bullet lists or directions. This activity will let you work through using both and how to change the various options for both as well!

While we are creating our designs using InDesign, we want to ensure that we are staying as organized as possible. Using the Layers panel effectively is a great way to increase your productivity. In this activity, you will use the directions located on Page 1 to organize the 2 Cookbook page spreads. This will also have your group objects, adjust your layers, and more!

Download the folder of Yearbook images, you will not have to use all of these. Your page should not only have a clean and organized layout, but good design as well. Remember that a Yearbook page should utilize the ENTIRE page, leaving no blank spaces and going all the way to the edge of the page.

While it is similar to the Pathfinder Panel in Adobe Illustrator, it has some key differences and contains a lot more options! ​Start by opening the panel! Window > Object & Layout > Pathfinder. How can you use this panel to create more dynamic layouts using Adobe InDesign?

USING TEXT in InDESIGN
For the next 4 assignments you will be working with getting familiar with TEXT in inDESIGN!  Open it in InDesign to find each activity you need to complete. This is what you will turn in. ​​When you have finished, you will label the worksheet as  LastName + FirstName + Period + Text and export it as a PDF, then you will turn in both for a grade.


Open the Text Frames Worksheet and read How to Work with Text Frames Tutorial found in this folder and then complete the worksheet you downloaded. You can use any words and images you would like to complete the worksheet (as long as it is school appropriate).

Before you can really get started using Adobe InDesign, you need to understand the program interface itself. Start by watching the Get to Know InDesign HelpX videos link and answer the questions on the worksheet provided. Follow along with the videos while you answer the questions. Make sure you are paying attention because this has some really great information to help you get started! There should be four videos to watch aligned with each section. 

Save your worksheet as Last Name + First Name + Period + Get to know ID and turn in here.

Pac-Man Assignment, after you are finished with the landscapes please work on this assignment.

This is just an assignment to get started with, review of what you should know already. There is an example of what I expect with great creativity as you all are certified photoshop users. It says to be due in three class periods but you all should be done with this before then, so I am giving you until the end of class Monday.
