Brackett ISD is proud to announce its partnership with the University of Texas in San Antonio to host a Parent College and Career Readiness Academy. If you have a child in the Brackettville Independent School District then this Parent Academy is for you. During the Academy, Parents will gain knowledge to prepare their child and family for college, develop skills to support their child’s learning, and learn to become an active community leader. The academy will provide each participant with an introduction to higher education as well as valuable resources to be used with their children and the community. This Academy is FREE of charge and will take place at the Brackett High School on the following dates:

• Saturday, May 9th from 10:00am to 3:00pm – Lunch Provided
• Saturday, May 16th from 10:00am to 3:00pm – Lunch Provided
• Saturday, May 23rd from 10:00am to 3:00pm – Lunch Provided
• Saturday, June 4th – Graduation Ceremony at UTSA Downtown Campus

Some of the sessions include Academic Planning, Community Outreach, and Financial Literacy. The Academy promises to be a great resource for any parent of school age children as it is designed to help parents adjust to school life and college.
